OBERWELZdesign is an industrial design agency specializing in strategic product design and user-centered innovation. We support national and international clients in the development of products and strategies, from the initial sketch to market readiness.
Our goal is to create relevant products and solutions that make a product more successful and meet the true needs of users. However, our approach can also result in the redesign of services, processes, strategies, new business models (and a combination thereof) – we design entire user experiences.

“The WHY is important to us.”
The complexity and diversity of different goals make each project unique. Whether you want to diversify your product range, better position yourself against your competitors, or venture into a new market (startup), whether you want to identify and fulfill true customer needs, or address hidden motivations in consumer behavior in a targeted manner.
To understand why things are the way they are, it is important to ask the right questions. Examining the problem, conducting unbiased research, interviews, observations, and the search for deep understanding and meaning hold untapped potential for solutions.

“Beautiful design is far from good design.”
Good design combines consumer needs, technical feasibility, and marketability in the design process and enables competitive products that are recognizable, functional, but above all consistent and credible. It creates products that are intuitive to use and enrich our lives. Innovative and future-oriented solutions that make a company’s brand promise and values tangible, thereby generating desire, trust, and loyalty among consumers.

Design as we understand it must do more than just please. It creates “benefits” rather than “features.” It fulfills needs rather than requirements.
