The AKG D12 VR (Vintage Revival) is a reissue and formal tribute to the all-time classic, the AKG D12. It was specially developed for recording bass drums and bass instruments.
It has a very thin and therefore lightweight diaphragm that excels at transmitting low frequencies. The AKG D12 VR also features a built-in active filter for the following operating modes: Passive (without phantom power activated) transmits the signal pure and unaltered. Active (with phantom power activated) offers three preset sounds for the active filter.
